[1] Paul Clayton (1931- 1967)

Bob Dylan의 "Don't Think Twice" 의 원작 'Who's Gonna Buy You Ribbons'을 만들고
American folksinger이자 자료를 수집하던 folksong collector였던 그는
Paul Clayton Worthington in New Bedford (Massachusetts) 태어나고,
1950년 부터 1967년 그가 죽을때 까지 Greenwich Village folk 무대에 있었다

1959년  미국 전역을 흥분시켰던 노래 "Gotta Travel On"은
원래 민간들 속에서 떠도는 것을 (folk staple)그가 정리한
"Gotta Travel On" 이 Billy Grammer에 의해서 팝,컨츄리 할것없이

미국 온 동네들을 들썩이게 만들었다

개인적으로는 "프레디 펜더"의 노래로 듣기를  좋아 합니다

[2] Billie Wayne Grammer (1925 ~)

 

바이올린 및 트럼펫 주자 이었던 아버지의 13명 아이들중 장남이어서 일찍부터 알바를 하였고
2차대전중에는  워싱턴 해군기지 에서 수련공으로 복무하다 전쟁이 끝난후
일리노이주  고향으로 돌아왔지만 그동안 익혔던 키타와 함께  컨츄리 싱어가 될 결심을 하고  
1959년 테네시주 Nashville레 있는 Monument Records사와 계약을 하자마자   
"Gotta Travel On," 내놓고 스타가 되버렸던 것이다
곧바로  the Grand Ole Opry에 regular cast member 되고
Buddy Holly의  final tour 였던 1959년 1월~2월 여행 콘써트의 오프닝으로 함께했었다

1963년 Billboard country chart에 힛트를 쳤던 Mel Tillis의 first version
"I Wanna Go Home."의 타이틀 "Detroit City," 도 내놓아 힛트를 치고

 

1965 년에 RG&G (Reid, Grammer & Gower)레코드 기획사 설립하였고
1970년까지  유명했던  the Grammer guitar (Grammer Guitar, Inc.) 만들어 냈다.  
1969년에 그의 키타가 the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville 헌정 되었다
