Ace of Sorrow - Brown and Dana Brown and Dana Brown and Dana의 Ace of Sorrow는 아름답고 슬픈 노래의 대명사로 Melanie Safka의 Saddest Thing과 쌍벽을 이루면서 방송국이나 음악 감상실, 음악다방에서 쉴새없이 리퀘스트된 유명한 곡이었죠. Philadelphia 출신 Garett Brown과 코네티컷주 출신 Al Dana는 Tufts 대학에서 50년대 후반에 만나, 학비보조를 위하여 음악활동을 하게 되는데, 졸업때 쯤인 '61년에 본격 적으로 활동하며 학교는 중단했습니다.대학교 행사와, Folk 음악공연이 열리는 New York, Philadelphia, Boston 등지로 공연을 하며 모습을 선보이는데, 이때 만든 It was a very good year 라는 album 속에 이 곡이 수록되었답니다. 가사중에 queen of hearts 라는 단어들이 나오는데 원래는 이 제목을 가진, 17세기 영국 민요라는 군요. 커피 한잔 앞에 놓고 듣고싶은 노래입니다..
