Gary Puckett & The Union Gap 은

워싱턴주의 역사적인 고장 유니온 갭에서 그룹명을 따온 그룹이다

이들은 서로 다른 계급을 단 남북전쟁복을 입고

무내에 나타나 큰 명성을 얻은 그룹으로

60년대 중반 샌디에이고 주립대학생이던

개리 퍼킷에 의해서 결성된 그룹이다

67년 서북부의 작은 클럽에서부터 인기를 얻기 시작하여

중앙무대에 까지 진출하게 되었는데

흐르는 곡은 67년 12월 빌보드 4위까지 오른곡이다...

이후 Young Girl(68년 3월 2위), Lady Willpower(68년 6월 2위)

Over You(68년 9월 7위)등 빌보드 Top10 에 오른곡이 몇곡있다..
