Epitatph 이 노래는 인간의 어리석고 오만한 지식이 자신을 파멸시킬 수도 있다는 두려움과 경고를 담고 있다. 영국의 프로그레시브 밴드인 King Crimson이 1969년 발표한 데뷔 앨범 In The Court Of The Crimson King에 수록된 곡.
킹 크림슨, 그 중에서 특히 킹 크림슨의 이 첫 앨범은 프로그레시브 락의 역사에 대해 논할 때 빠뜨릴 수 없는 명반이다.

예언이 적힌 벽이 갈라지고 있구나죽음의 기계 위에는 햇살이 번뜩이네모든 사람이 악몽과 꿈을 간직한 채로 산산조각나 버릴 때외침이 침묵 속으로 가라앉아버리면  아무도 승자의 관을 쓸 수 없으리
 
내 묘비명은 혼란이라 새겨다오갈라지고 무너진 길을 기어가고 있는데  끝까지 갈 수 있다면 모두 함께 앉아 웃을 수 있겠지하지만 내일 울게 될까봐 두렵네그래 내일 울게 될까봐 두렵네
 
운명의 철문 틈에 시간의 싹이 뿌려졌고아는 자와 알려진 자들이 물을 주었다규칙이 없을 때는 지식은 죽음으로 인도할 뿐나의 눈에는 인류의 운명이 바보들의 손에 달려있구나
