[스크랩] Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale

영국의 록밴드 프로콜 하룸(Procol Harum)의 1967년 발표곡입니다. 난해한 가사와 다소 어둡고 아련한 분위기의 오르간 연주가 특징인 이 곡은 당시에 6백만 장이 넘는 판매고를 기록하며 지금까지도 여러 가수들에 의해  리메이크되면서 록의 명곡으로 평가받는 곡입니다.

플로어를 가로질러 카트휠을 하면서 우리는 가볍게 판당고 춤을 추었지 나는 마치 배멀미를 하는것 같았지만 사람들은 더 하라고 소리를 질러댔어   방 안은 천장을 날려버릴 듯 점점 더 소란스러워졌지 우리가 술한잔을 더 청하자 웨이터가 쟁반에 술을 받쳐왔지만 너무 늦은 일이었어   그리고 얼마 후 방앗간 주인이 자신의 이야기를 하기 시작하자 그녀의 얼굴이 처음엔 유령처럼 하얗게 질리더니 점점 더 창백하게 변해갔어   그녀는 아무 일도 아니라고 했는데 내가 보기에는 분명히 그렇게 보였어 난 카드를 치면서 계속 의아해했지   그녀가 여신을 섬기기 위해 해안을 향해 떠나는 열 여섯 명의 순결한 처녀 중 하나가 되게 그대로 내버려 둘 수는 없었어 내 눈은 뜨여 있었지만 차라리 감겨져 있는 게 나았어   그리고 얼마 후 방앗간 주인이 자신의 이야기를 하기 시작하자 그녀의 얼굴이 처음엔 유령처럼 하얗게 질리더니 점점 더 창백하게 변해갔어
