오래된 성당 뒤뜰을 우린 거닐고 있었지
나혼자 가만히 무릅을 꿇었네
그때 어느 팔이 내 어깨를 감싸 안았었지
그것은 옛날 그 신부님 이었다네 ....

우린 그곳을 산책하고 있었지
그때 우린 서로 그 이야기를 나누고 있었어
그가 말했지 그는 왜 그 사명을 가지고 이 샌안톤에 왔는지
무엇때문에 그랬는지 ....

그때 예배당 종소리가 울리고
하늘로부터 천사같은 노래소리가 들렸었지
"내가 사랑하는 이여 ..." 하고

그때 무릅을 꿇었던 게지 그 정원에서 말이야
"내가 사랑하는 나의 Corazonne.." 라는 속삭임이 들렸지
천사와 같은 그 사랑의 노래의 주인공이
바로 The padre of old San Antone .. 그분이었어 ...

I strolled to an old mission garden
And as I was kneeling alone
An arm gently fell on my shoulder
It was the padre of old San Antone

We went for a walk in the garden
And as we were talking alone
He told why he came to the mission
To the mission in old San Antone

..Then the chapel bells they rang
..And an angel chorus sang
..Mi amore Thea ma mio from the sky

Then he kneeled down to pray in the garden
And whispered Mi amore mi Corazonne
Then I knew that his love was an angel
The padre of old San Antone 

  


Tim Spencer(1908 - 1974)

He, born Vernon Spencer,
(July 13, 1908 - April 26,1974),
was an American singer and cowboy Actor.
Tim, along with Bob Nolan and Roy Rogers, founded
the popular American Cowboy singing group,
The Sons of the Pioneers in 1933.
