Dee Dee's marriage to Dick Gass 1961 received mass coverage in movie magazines,
but after their wedding she promplty left "The Lawrecene Welk Show."
The official reason given was that she wanted to start a family, but there was speculation

that Lawrence Welk didn't want a Lennon Sister who wasn't a virgin on his show.
