Keep On the Sunny Side 는

1899년
동네 "the sunny side" 로 데려다 달라고 항상 조르는

wheelchair에 의지하고 있던 장애자 조카의 말에

Ada Blenkhorn(1858-1927)는 

삶의 밝은 면 긍정적인 면 을 보면서 살아가야 한다 는 영감을 얻어 작시했고  

J. Howard Entwisle (1866-1903)이 곡을 붙힌 이 노래는 ... 1928 년,

Carter Family에 의해 미국 전역으로 퍼지기 시작했고, Gold record에 선정되기도 했읍니다.

지금까지도 미국인들에 마음에 있는 대중적인 American bluegrass song 입니다.
