Monday Monday는1966년 5월 7일자부터 5월 21일자까지 연속 3주간 빌보드 핫100 차트 1위에 올랐다. The Mamas & the Papas는 1965년부터 1968년(1971년 잠시 재결합) 사이에 활동하면서 5개의 앨범과 11개의 Top 40 싱글 레코드를 내 놓았다. 전세계적으로 4,000만장 이상 레코드를 판매한 것으로 기록되고 있다.
