나의 쓸쓸함엔 기원이 없다
너의 얼굴을 만지면 손에 하나 가득

가을이 만져지다 부서진다
쉽게 부서지는 사랑을

생이라고 부를 수 없어
나는 사랑보다 먼저

생보다 먼저 쓸쓸해진다

적막한, 적막해서
아득한 시간을 밟고 가는

너의 가녀린 그림자를 본다
네 그림자 속에는 어두워져가는

내 저녁의 생각이 담겨 있다

영원하지 않은 것들을

나는 끝내 사랑할 수가 없어
네 생각 속으로 함박눈이 내릴 때
나는 생의 안쪽에서 하염없이

그것을 바라만 볼 뿐
네 생각 속에서 어두워져가는

내 저녁의 생각 속에는 사랑이 없다

그리하여 나의 쓸쓸함엔 아무런 기원이 없다
기원도 없이 쓸쓸하다
기원이 없어 쓸쓸하다

By the light of the full moon
Soft blessings shine from above
Tenderly witness the fullness of love
Promising unending bliss
Scent of the jasmine that blooms in the night
Drifts in the breeze as we kiss

Under a crescent of moon
A simple slither of gold
I felt the fear of the loss of your love
Leaving me breathless and cold
Could feelings wane like the soft glowing light?
How would our future unfold?

Now on a clear moonless night
I search the millions of stars
Hoping to glimpse just a trace of the light
That had once shone in my heart
Could love return like the face of the moon
Or are we too far apart?
